I'm seeing....PINK!!!

Attention, Attention:  In case you did not hear us shouting from the rooftops of Baptist yesterday....
I'm going to be a mommy to a little GIRL!!!!!!   WOOOO HOOOOOO!!! Decorating time!! Shopping Spree!!! YEA!!!!

Colby and I went to our doctor appointment yesterday (Tuesday, February 22nd)!! IT'S A GIRL!!!!!
We could not possibly be more excited... God is SO great!!!
She looked GREAT! Healthy as can be... everything was measured and growing perfectly.  Heart rate yesterday was 144! She is already so precious... and dramatic! HA! Had her hand draped over her face in a "please...I'm trying to sleep here" attitude.  All she wanted to show her mommy and daddy was her button nose and sweet lips! She also kept kicking her legs out as the "sonogram" tool moved across her!
All I have to say to every other pregnant woman.... DON'T trust the "old wives" tales... HA! They were ALL wrong for us... but it sure was fun to try and predict.  AND THE SURPRISE IS AMAZING no matter if you find out the day of delivery, or when your 20 wks like us!

This morning my precious Kindergarten class surprised me with a PINK PARTY!!!! I walked in to my classroom, and SURPRISE- all my class jumped up! They had DECKED out our room in pink balloons, and pink flowers! We had PINK strawberry cake, pink lemonade- of course it was served on PINK plates, napkins, cups... It was SO fun.  A moment I will NEVER forget....
Here are some pictures from our FABULOUS celebration! I have the best room mothers EVER.

I hate I had to blur the faces because it is a SUPER cute picture.. but I have to keep my babies safe!
Can we say a  precious celebration?!!  Our baby girl is so LOVED already!!!

MERRY MERRY WEDNESDAY!!!

Ahhhhh.... Saturday!

The weather is amazing today and I love it! Colby and I woke up and went to eat a yummy Primos breakfast this morning, then Daddy came over to help Colby move all the furniture out of our soon to be nursery! I got to go spend some time with my precious niece and nephew at Reunion playground! Love! They are growing up sooooo fast! All the excitement comes now... After I drove all the way to Flowood, just so I could enjoy some Berry Berry Good Yogurt, I arrive back home to my husband who is about to leave to go fishing. I ask him to quickly teach me how to shave our lab, Milly, because she is shedding TERRIBLY!!! So after he gets her tied up, shows me how to follow the hair with the shaver the way the hair grows, and comments "you'll be able to do this- it's easy". I am thinking, okay.. You 're so right. I CAN do it. So here I go.... Dog groomer here... Starts shaving away. Surprise, it really was not too hard! Hardest part being getting Milly to stand and sit when needed! So Colby leaves, "smooch smooch honey, have fun" I say, just as content as can be. So I get to the point where we are close to being done and I hear some boys walking up the street with their toy poodle. Dum duh dum duhhh..... Oh get ready. In two seconds Milly, now known as Milly the wonder lab, is running full speed ahead after the poodle. So fast, in fact, she broke her leash that was holding her tied up and kept going. So here stands pregnant me to save the day as both boys are screaming "HELP" at the top of the lungs. Here's the picture: poodle running down the street, dragging boy #1 who was holding leash, while Milly darts after them, while boy # 2 stares at me, pregnant, running/ screaming after Milly, as i still am holding the electric shaver! Oh if only it ends there... I catchup to Milly, drag her by her broken leash back to our yard, hold her between my legs as we finish her cut- remember this information if you come to our house anytime soon and wonder what happened to Milly's hair.... Anyways, yes there's more, I now decide it would be a good idea to go ahead and bathe Milly to get all the hair I've cut off of her. So my dear husband had moved the water hose to the other side of our porch the other day so I drag Milly over there. Find another "rope" to help hold her, and begin to wash. With the first squirt of water, Milly is IN the bush, IN meaning... In the flower bed, under a bush.... which is muddy (dirt plus hose water = MUD). Milly's face at this point is BROWN, solid brown, as well as the mud she has kicked up on me, and her body... We are covered. I already had white hair all over me, add water and mud and I resembled a chicken who played with the pigs all morning. Needless to say, I drug, literally pulled with all my might, Milly, back to the driveway side of the porch. After re-tying,moving the hose, and re-washing I now am stretched out on the couch while Milly is outside with her momma, Reese, on the back porch! Whoosh...... What a day. Note to all, this was a ONE AND ONLY. Now I know why Colby always did this!!!! And to think, he is laid back in a boat fishing... Hmph. I should have joined him! HAHA! Nursery progress: we have an empty room!! Ready for wall paint, and new carpet once we find out what the baby will be on Tuesday!! I did the "ring on a string" test, it said Boy! Both Chinese calendars also said Boy! We shall see!!! Boy or Girl, I cannot wait! And we even have names for both picked out and ready to meet their owner ;) Come on TUESDAY!!! Be Merry!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Enjoy this beautiful weather- and respect your dog groomer! Ha!

The babbling of a Pregnant Lady

WHOA.... SO sorry that it has taken me... oh.... um... a month... to come back and visit my blog. I will try to do better.

Soon, I'll have LOTS to blog about, that is, when we finally find out the sex of our Baby Mason!! 11 days and counting... February 22nd at 1:20 is our next appt! I. CAN. NOT. WAIT.   I will get to start posting pics of possible nursery additions/wall paint/ crib bedding.... ahhhh.... YAYYYYY!
Now, I just find myself talking to the little baby Mason, hiding inside of me and asking... so can you tell Mommy if you are a boy or a girl.. Kick my hand right now if you are a boy... wait for it.. okay nothing.. so you are a girl???  oh wait, now you kick.. what did that mean?  Seriously.. pregnancy can cause craziness... and lack of brain functioning.   It is so amazing to begin feeling the movements of the baby though.  When I finally get still at the end of the day and rest my hand upon "the bump" - it is such a cool feeling, like bubbles almost, sporadically (did I spell that correctly?) tapping against my hand.  I LOVE THIS FEELING.
Moving on to another pregnancy topic... FOOD.  YUM.  The first 13 weeks of my pregnancy... I HATED food. Didn't want to smell it, taste it, see it, oh no... yuck.  A slice of toast for breakfast and at some point later, much later in the day, I could get down a turkey sandwich, heated, from Subway.  That was it. Period.
Now.... oh... now... at almost 17 weeks.... FOOD.... has become the BEST INVENTION EVER. I have a feeling my "I have only gained 5 and a half pounds" spill is about to go crashing out the window", HA!
Here are Baby and Momma Mason's current cravings:
ANYTHING pickled.... pickles, pickled okra, pickled corn... mmmmm....
"Fried" Bologna Sandwiches  (which are really not friend.. just heated in a skillet... but oh if you haven't tried it... DO... today... add a little "durkees" and some lettuce... DE-LISH..)
Steak...
Frozen Yogurt... mmmmm....

These things... are ALL I want this week.. So weird.  And by the way. The last time I ate a "bologna" sandwich was when I was 7. Just throwing that out there.  If you are gagging as you are reading this, I do apologize.  Call my husband... he can relate.

So since I can't post pictures of our nursery progress yet... mainly because there hasn't been any besides the purchase of our crib and changing table.. WHICH I LOVE....  I guess I will just add a few pics of what we've been up too lately...

We went to Oxford for my birthday weekend, and to celebrate Heather and Reese's wedding!
Here is a pic of me and Heather at her wedding reception in Oxford on January 29th! We had the best time... It was a beautiful day!! Almost Spring-like!  I loved our bridesmaids dresses, too!

Can't believe I'm including this.. but... here "we" are at the wedding!
So fun! 15 wks preggo :)

We had SNOW this week... It is actually still frozen on the ground since it is only 27 degrees outside.
This is our pretty "snow covered" home! God is such an amazing artist....

In my K5 classroom we've started READING!!! I am so proud of my babies... We also celebrated our 100th day, and are in the process of learning about Presidents and America (George Washington this week- Abe Lincoln comes next week),  Here are a few pics....

Tonight, my wonderful husband, Colby, is taking me to see "Little Big Town" at the rodeo in Jackson! This is something we do EVERY year... (the rodeo, that is).  It is something we both love to watch and I am soooo excited about our early Valentine's date night.
I'm hope my baby will even sport his "Championship Belt Buckle" that he won from the rodeo when he was a young cowboy himself! Last year he wore it, and kid you not, Regan and Emily could see it "bling blinging" from the other side of the coliseum.  That's how big and shiny it is. YEEEE HAW Y'ALL.

Happy Weekend (and a Happy Valentines Day) to all of you....  Go Be Merry!!!
